iPhone 3.0 This morning, I woke up in anticipation that I could upgrade my iPhone to 3.0. But low and behold, the release time was going to be 10 am PDT. Well so much for testing it out at work. So I got home, initiated the download, and waited, and waited, and then my phone froze, couldn't recognize the SIM card, blah blah... Restart.
Amazon KindleMy wife loves to read. I like to read, and will read hear and there. My wife will read when ever she can, and she re-reads books as often as I re-watch movies. So I got her an Amazon Kindle 2
on a whim. She loves it. And now I want one.

Beery Merry Christmas AleIt's holiday season again, and therefore it's time for a good holiday ale. I wanted to make something dark, warm, and Christmasy. So in looking around for ideas to spice up my beer, I came across two good spices: coriander and cardamon. I also experimented with a new yeast and new yeast manufacturer, Whitebread by White Labs. This turned out to make a very tasty beer.
Ford developing hydraulic hybrid trucksI, for one, would love to get a Ford F-150. But it's it bit big, and the gas mileage isn't that great. The Ford Escape Hybrid is nice enought, but it's a bit small for me, and doesn't quite have the power.
That could change with help of hydraulic hybrid technology.
Black Friday Oatmeal StoutIf you didn't know, I love stout beers. A good stout can be enjoyed all year long, but I like it even more in the winter. Hands-off first look at the MacBook ProFirst off, it was quite the surprise. I was not expecting a pro machine to be released with the Intel architecture, but to be honest, the PowerBook was getting a little long in the tooth. Thank goodness for surprises, and my first impression is WOW!
Apple produces something early for a change Wow. Sometimes I can expect Apple to do something, and sometimes, I can dream and hope that Apple will do something. This time at the MacWorld Expo in San Francisco, Apple suprised me with the new Intel Macs.
